Yep i was serious and can i just say that he was absolutely fantastic - ok so he wasn't quite as good as Queen but as i saw them in 1985 i don't suppose they can count because very few things would top them and he was better than Runrig who are my second favourite group so i've given him a fairly high recommendation
- i wasn't the youngest there by a long shot either AND i had a front row side balcony seat quite near the stage and choklit too so my night was good allround
- i'm fairly easily pleased. Then it rained on me at peterborough and after the dirtiness of London even that was nice! Still, next time you're out and about let me know i may keep up with you for a mile
whereabouts peterborough are you? I'm just off the a16/a17 roundabout few miles down from spalding so only half hourish down the road from you depending whereabouts you are there - lol i went over the roundabout on Bourges Boulevard today that i dropped the bike on when i was on my way to my test - learnt with Camriders in P'boro

Re: Free for Ride Saturday.
I am actually in Wittering but People generally do know the name so I generalize with Peterborough.
Glad you had a nice night out, however I was getting ribbed on the Rideout yesterday that I had been stood up for Neil Diamond!
I got rained on a little bit on the way back yesterday and by 11pm the temperature dropped - had took the warm inner lining out as it had been a warm day!
I find it good to go places/ routes that you have incidents on - builds the confidence. The tarmac on Bourge Boulevard it particulary slipery probably due to the buses dropping oil etc. Had a very close one today - car pulled out as I was excellerating bye - very close.
I learn't with Tim at Apex, highly recommend him as he trains well above the test standard, for him it's a pssion not a job. He also has a trade catalogue that he allows students/ ex-students to order out of at trade prices (cash only).
My next weekend free for riding is 23/24.
John.

Ah yes Wittering i know it (doesn't everyone lol tho i wouldn't go through p'boro myself to get to it) - as for being ribbed for being stood up for Neil Diamond i wouldn't worry - they would have found something else to rib you about anyway ain't that right Johnboy
I'm about 24th if you fancy a meet up then shout.
CamRiders at p'boro were brill too - guy i had was also above and beyond - he was one of the 'teach more than they need to know' ones and after i passed he turned up on several occasions out of the blue with a couple of radios and took me down to Wells and Hunny as i had no one to ride with to make sure i got out and about on the bike. But that bloody roundabout - i was mortified and it was my own fault - lights were amber and it was a shall i sharn't i moment then i realised I had big boss behind me and thought it may reflect badly on my instructor if i went on an amber so i stopped sharply which was fine then i heard Graham on the radio say 'er suzie you may want put your fo... oh too late' and i was down. I then threw a complete strop because he was laughing and telling me we'd just sit on the side of the road (bearing in mind we were front in the queue) so i could catch my breath and he could have a fag and i refused to take my lid off until the guys in the builders van next to me had gone
- still, i passed my test so it wasn't all bad!

Re: Free for Ride Saturday.
Now, if that hadn't happened then you wouldn't have had a great story to tell and make me laugh.
I have only done Hunstanton once, find most of the trip boring. I do love Well's thou but haven't done that trip , so if the weather looks good then my be we could do that and have fish & chips! I have a kite that folds into a tiny bum bag as well - LOL!
Shall we touch base closer to 24th?
