As you can see, totally standard (I think...). next job is to personalise it a bit, starting with getting all the awful safety and alarm stickers off it!

It looks like a US import - it'll be worth knowing that for when it comes time to get parts. In particular if it's a Californian one (unlikely). The model code is on a sticker under the seat.

Nice clean, unmolested one though - good find.

Now you're starting to worry me... there's a sticker under the seat which says "5AH5-010". Should I be concerned?

Google tells me that's a non-Californian 1999 model. Non-Cal is good - it should be basically the same as any other Cat.

Cheers Weasley - my quick Googling said the same and it's nice to have it confirmed by someone else. I feel much more relaxed about it now!

That's a great looking bike Chris, you've done well. Is it going to get ridden over winter?

Probably - there's a car on the drive for when I really can't be bothered to ride in really terrible weather, but the bike ten times as fun and shaves 30 mins off my commute so there's a good incentive to leave the car at home!
