Good pics. Did someone have a mechanical problem ?

Sprocket nut came off - what you see in the pics is

■ with us all standing around in the rain:  is when the sprocket came off. Some 'humour' with trying to get the sprocket cover off before we realised an attempt was made to also remove the water pump   Fortunately we were 3 miles from base at the end of the ride.

■ with all standing around in the sun : a garage willing to let us use the welder, then an attempt by Landy mechanics to find a nut, followed by an attempt at getting the welder fixed and finally a welding machine which worked. The mechy's couldn't weld, so that was left to our Uncle Albert (Christian)

Sometimes, I think it's the things that go wrong, that make the trip.

That's the only reason I get invited.

did it not get properly fixed after doing the same at weemac?

I'm amazed terry didnt finally use those swan vestas he carries around on ride outs.....

Opportunity not missed Dave, Uncle Albert was given strict instructions to weld in the petrol tank - but that didn't even work.

The mechy, when told the bike was best with some Swan Vesta's, stated that Swan's were probably too good for it and not worth the expense
