Urgent Announcement! Surf & Turf

Due to lack of uptake we've lost the accommodation booking! Disappointing because the location and house we're perfect.

I think the best thing to do is for everyone who wishes to attend S'n'T to book your own accommodation in Leyburn or Richmond.
Terry Lees and I will be only to happy to help if anyone would like assisstance or recommendations, just drop us a PM or post up in this section of the site.

I'll post up meeting/rideout/route details nearer the time.

Thanks Chris, I know how hard it is trying to organise things, unfortunately we are still unable to commit just yet but are hoping to be able to make it, we will be in touch

It's not a big issue mate, would have been lovely to stay in School House but it needed around 15 people to confirm to make it good value and we just didn't get near the numbers.

Unfortunately, the deposit & price were too high for me to take the hit and try to fill the spaces later.

The event isn't cancelled and I'm sure we'll all still have a cracking weekend but we've missed the boat for staying in the same place as with recent years.

Like I've said above, as soon as you know whether you can make it, give me or Tez a shout and we'll help you sort out somewhere decent to stay.

Hopefully see you there.

I'm hoping to make the rideout but am unlikely to be stopping over this year.

We shall make the journey and have the ride out too. Should get a baby sitter that lasts a day, with the boy, so Linz can enjoy the back seat for a change.

Ill be on for the ride outs but cant defo say at this time if I can stay

This is a cracking rideout with great scenery, so any Newbies thinking about joining one of our rideouts I can heartily recommend this one.  

I'm hoping to make it after a 2 year absence due to work.

Right, Yet another change. Some of you will remember S&T about 5 years ago when we stayed in the Golden Lion in Leyburn. What a disaster, the owners son in law was a proper nutter and gave the guys the wrong key to get back in the hotel. (on purpose) MevsyD had to break in through a toilet window that was about big enough for a 6 year old child to get through at about 2 in the morning. Well we're staying there again. Must add hastily that it changed hands about 6 months ago, and has undergone a total refurb. It goes without saying that I know the owner and the manager, and they have assured us of a warm Wensleydale welcome. The food is excellent for those that wish to eat in the hotel, but within 100 yds there's a Indian, Chinese, Italian and fish and chip shop. The normal rate per person is £40 inc. full English breakfast but for thundercatters its £35. These are the rooms that are presently available:-
Room 1 twin
Room 3 Family (up to 3 adults)
Room 4 double
Room 5 twin
Room 6 single
Room 8 double
Room 9 family
Room 10 double
Room 11 double
Room 12 family
Room 14 twin
There are many other establishments in Leyburn and surrounds and campsites for those that prefer, Just let me Know. For those that have already put their names down please let me know your preference, and I'll do the necessary. Obviously all rooms at the Golden Lion are on a first come first served basis. Thanks. Haha the memories. I also climbed up the drainpipe to get in, wasn't until daylight that we realised it was very rusty & only one dodgy looking bolt held it to the wall.

Just spoken to Bob, he and brother Pete are coming so I'll put them in room 5. Starting to fill up nicely now.
