Haha well done Dave.
Im a Nurse Practitioner so have moved over to the dark side of my job being more GP-like so I don't do nursey stuff anymore.

Re: Tiz very quiet...
Yes Steve, and earn 120000 too!
But it takes 12 years of training to be a GP, they have a huge amount of responsibility and its an extremely stressful job with shed loads of accountability.
Funnily enough I do a very similar job and earn half what they do... Mmm

Re: Tiz very quiet...
An ex of mine was a GP.
Never a profession I remotely considered (coming from a mining and steelworking background), but what I did learn is it's possibly one of the least attractive jobs around.
First consideration being: That almost everyone you meet, every single day of your working life, has a complaint, and some of those complaints are as depressing as it gets.
Second consideration being: The initial diagnosis and treatment plan is on your shoulders. (If you make an arse of that, people may die)
At times, working as an IT Consultant, I was making more money than she did...for a lot less hours and a damn sight less consequences.

But you forgot about how satisfying it is to save a life, find a diagnosis and make people feel better as a direct result of my actions/prescription etc.
I never went into healthcare for the money, and only a certain type of person can do it.
