Hey guys,

my name's Gaz. I've had my thundercat for about 18months now. Really enjoying the bike.

Was toying with getting rid of it this spring and buying my friend's Falco from him, however after a test-ride of the Aprilia, I didn't gel with it, preferring the smoothness of the 'Cat.

So I treated the Cat to a full service at my local Yam Dealer.

Carb balance, filters, oil, chain, sprockets, fork seals, new front tyre and a general tidy up. Cost a pretty penny, but now she's in good nick ready for the good weather.

Took her out on her first proper ride of spring the other day; up to Matlock for chips and a bit of bike-ogling, then up to Glossop and down the old Snake Pass. Weather was epic and the ride was mint.

Gotta tighten the chain back up tomorrow, as it seems to have stretched a little after being fitted (I've been told they can do that when they're new). Can't wait for the next ride! clink

A warm welcome from all of us who love your pies Smile ...probably quite a few.

Glad to hear you didn't move to the dark side.

Enjoy.

Hello and Welcome Gaz,

Have a good scout around the forum, and watch out for our rides out in the Something for the Weekend section.

There's a few of us in and around the neck of woods you mention in your hello ditto above . . . . give a shout out day or so before your next blast and perhaps a wee impromptu ride could be on the cards Smile

Hi and welcome Gaz

I'm not a million miles away and often do the Glossop, snake, Matlock thing so would be up for a meet some time with a bit of notice.

Glad the cat is working for you and hope to meet with you soon be it on a group ride out or impromptu!!

Cheers

Hi Gaz,
I'm just down the road from you in Wittering in Nr Stamford, Welcome to the site.

When my bike is working the Colsterworth to Melton Mowbray is a favourite. Hope to have it back on the road for this weekend so let us know if you want a meet, maybe ride up to Matlock and meet up with Steve.

John.

Hi Gaz, welcome. I'm sure you won't regret investing in getting your 'Cat purrfect.
Mine's in the shop today having a load doing to it, I'll feel your pain later on!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Certainly looking forward to a summer of riding. Nice to know that some of you live relatively local.

At Matlock on Saturday there were hundreds of bikes - yet mine was the ONLY Thundercat there! Plenty of Triumph Rockets, Blackbirds, even an S1000RR, so lots of rare metal, yet not a single 'Cat, haha!

Today's job is to get the bike on the paddock stand and adjust the chain properly. Then (seeing as the sun is shining) I might take it out for a blast to see how different it feels Wink
