Meet Clive
I started an evening welding course the other week, once a week for 10 weeks and really enjoying it.
I was sticking bits of metal last night using different joints and ended up with my new mate Clive.
A couple of the welds
I've shaken it, dropped it, had it in a vice and knocked hell out it and he's still together. : )

Hi Clive,
welcome to the forum. Maybe Stretchie will take you for a Pilly ride.
know nothing about welding so can't comment on your skills but looks neat.

Nice one Dan.
Can't help but notice that Clive's got a face like a welders bench.

That's just mean.... Even if it's true
Been fun this weekend, seeing as it was a long weekend I did have LOADS of stuff planned:
- Rear caliper strip and rebubild with new pistons and seals on the Land Rover
- Make new speaker rings pods from MDF and fibreglass them to the doors so I can get some decent sized speakers in the Land Rover (never used fibreglass before)
- Replace steering box seals on Land Rover (seeing a pattern here?)
- Replace window regulator in front passenger door on Land Rover
- Make (or start to make) a smoker out of an old oil drum so we can do proper BBQ low and slow
BUT not one thing got delivered so I got the welder out instead.
I made Clive a friend this weekend, we call him Lunge
Also knocked up a latch to replace the broken one on the garden gate, a key holder out of some bar and some 75mm M8 bolts and a base for my tool box with some decent castors on it..

Re: Meet Clive
Ha ha, loving this thread, looks like your having some great fun there Stretchie
Some very nice looking welds there and some.. err, well, interesting ones
I thought Clive looks a bit like the train signal thingy from Chuggington btw so I had to do a wee search....
And then I thought perhaps not
