Spring Clean

First topic message reminder :

After riding her hard (oooh err missus) all winter I thought she deserved a bit of TLC.

There's was actually some paintwork left under all the salt and grime.

Took some close ups of the Flush fits, Mirrors and Tail Light conversion as a few threads lately have been asking about those mods.

haha great thread and a very VERY clean bike you must of been sat on stool with a toothbrush for hours Did u have to modify your back light or bracket in any way to make it fit??

Dai-San. I got two bikes that need you tlc!!

I thought yellow was pretty shit but then I found this and now I like it very much.



Sex for me is a bit like my bike.
In need of a good service and damn dirty.

I feel left out , the bike is sick ( local slang for well nice ) , I am partly color blind, and yellow is shit (lol) sorry had to say it , but no honestly I like all cats in all colors even pink , nice job on the clean and tidy up

Dai-san - lovely clean up job mate. Makes me think about doing mine.

Only think about it though! I am more in line with the Rosco school of bike care.

Maybe all us "yellow" bikers could club together and get a group discount on sets of the cat riders leathers? Any takers, Ellie, dai-san, mr. france, me etc.

They do the Yamaha race leathers which I think are pretty nice (but then I like yellow)... I wouldn't mind getting some.



I actually just sold my black & yellow leathers because they didn't fit :(

You'd get plagued by wasps (I've heard they're attracted to yellow).

It might be apocryphal, but I have noticed that my blue Cat attracts Hoverflies.
They hang around the tank like they've died and gone to heaven.

So maybe it is a good idea for the yellow Cat owners to club together, and stay at least a hundred yards away from everyone else during rest stops .

SMIDSY's seem to be more of a result of your apparent movement against the scenery behind you, rather than how brightly coloured you are.

Think of a train at night with a big lamp stuck on front of it.
You know it's there, you can't miss it, but if you are standing right in front of it there's no way you can tell how fast it's moving, or even how close it is (until it's really close).

If you stand back from the tracks though, the speed and distance are more noticeable.

A train can't jump the tracks, but you can move left to right a bit approaching waiting traffic at junctions on a bike.
That small move should (with a small 's') register with the driver waiting to merge, if you have eye contact.

Tail - like, mirrors - like, flush fits - like, all in all very nice mate, any pics of the tail light in action would be good!!

From now on Blue cats and Yellow cats should be encouraged to "take one for the team" at rideouts and save the rest of us from hoverflies and wasps.
