First accident this morining Empty First accident this morining

Well looks like that time has finally come!

I was riding to work as usual, filtering past stationary cars on a dual carriage way then suddenly I am on my side with my leg under the bike and we go for a little slide. (After investigating I had appeared to hit a patch of gooey mud)

Luckily no damage done to me Smile ...the cat is a little worse for wear but mostly cosmetic.
To make up for a little retail therapy was necessary, so I bought some carbon levers to replace the snapped clutch lever and some carbon indicators. The scratched fairing will have to wait though :(

I was more embarrassed and gutted for the bike more than anything. Just makes you realise how human you are when you think it won't happen to you!

:(

Sorry to hear the news Paul.
Main thing is that you are OK.
Fingers crossed the bike can be patched up without too much expense.

FFS! Can't we make an effort next year to keep them shiny side up???!!!

Kidding pal, glad you are OK and nothing too bad to the bike. As said the one thing that you can guarantee about riding a bike is that you will fall off at some point..

Sorry to hear about the crash, at least you are still in one piece!

Cosmetic things are easily fixed, as a few have said, ebay is the place to go for fairings.

Good luck with the search, if I see owt come up will let you know

Damn, and a few other expletives were issued I'm sure!

Glad to hear you're OK great and the bike is repairable. grumpy Hope you can get it all repaired soon and put it behind you.

If the condition of the UK's roads was top notch there'd be less accidents - wonder if the DoT's thought of that?!
