The week for damage.
First topic message reminder :
Oh dear it seems to be the week for damage - my poor cat is in the wars.
Unlike me but last night after getting back late from Hunstanton I didn't put the curly cord across the ignition (u see where this is going). I got off litely I suppose as I was wheeling it back when the disc lock tried to go through my front wheel cover. I can glue the damage, it's not as bad as it could have been and only cosmetic, but will have to keep an eye out for a blue one on eBay - my baby deserves to look pristine since she looks after me.
mmm. Worried now, is this going to earn me my first numptypoint? :(

Re: The week for damage.
However, I did upgrade to Carbon front mudguard after the second one.
Where did you get that from? EBay?

Re: The week for damage.
I've only known one bloke who's had his bike stolen and the thieves didn't fanny around with the steering lock or disk lock, they just humphed it into the back of a van and drove away with it.

Re: The week for damage.
Yep....if you think you think there is a risk a big f'ck off chain is the best deterrent me thinks.
I bought a cheap one on eBay for £15 to £20.
If they really want it they'll still get it.....even if it has a cracked front mudguard/fender.

No, there's a member of this forum makes them, or used to.
He's done a few for members on here, I can't remember his name though.
If you do a search on the site you'll probably find a thread about, or someone on here will be able to remember his name.

Re: The week for damage.
I might as well go mad on this one.
My money's on Miss Piggy for Ellie, Nick therefore has to be Kermy Wermy.
Oldcat would be either of Statler or Waldorf with Cards being his sidekick.
The Swedish chef has to be Wild-Kat-Wolf & Ezzy's mum after last year Big Mac Banoffie Pie.
Dr Bunsen Honeydew will be Greencat ably assisted by Mechy69 as Beaker. When you hear him complain about this I dare you not to think about Beaker's bottom lip.
Tomcom will be animal..... I can't think why!
John (BMW from Big Mac) will be Dr Teeth - I can see him smiling from here!
Furball will be Sam the Eagle (waiting on his curry)
Terry Lees has to be Uncle Deadly 'depth charge'
Dirt Bike Dave will be Rowlf the dog as he has an attraction to them on his duke.
Mr Nutt or Manor69 will be Gonzo the Great....no more bumps boys!!!!
Stretchie will be Fozzie Bear
And I'll be Mr Poodlepants

Re: The week for damage.
Love your posting Elle.
Since My bump on the track with the Cone here is a list of what I am going to do:
1. Put on some better Temporary Indicators at front that fit better (non-LED).
2. Purchased some New funky Mirrors with built-in Indicators (LED), so will fit these and get LED's working at a later stage after studying the postings on here.
3. Have a Set of Goodrich Electric Blue Braided Brake hoses on order, hopefully will be fitted before ToL.
4. Fit stick-on LED Clock with Backlight - it was only a fiver.
5. Glue Front Mudguard and cover damage with stickers - or buy Carbon If I can find the person who made them on this forum.
6. Exhaust to be replaced next year otherwise I wont be able to afford to buy Abi a Christmas Present.
That should do it for now.

Re: The week for damage.
Where did you park the bike at Hunny. Was there yesterday with the wife (anniversary), seems they want the bikes to be parked near the coaches?
Also, do the ****** want us to pay?
I parked up at Tesco.

Re: The week for damage.
Where did you park the bike at Hunny
I knew what you meant. LOL
I park on the front near the pier (free) - it's basically a wide path, but has always been a bike park as long as I can remember. It can be a bit daunting your first time as it is on an angle and you have to avoid the pedestrians (and get bombed by the seagulls).
Go past Tesco's and turn left at the small roundabout next to a car dealers. Follow it around (amusement arcades on left a car park on right) until you see a big area of grass in front, you then go off-road onto the path, through the bollards, mow down a few dosey pedestrians and your there. You can't get closer to the sea front without going in.

Wise Point: Always reverse your bike in so you can ride out, makes life a lot easier you will understand once you have been there.

You know far too much about The Muppets.
I'm feeling the need to experiment on someone....
