Here are accommodation options available for this years ride-out around Lincolnshire.

The base is in North Lincolnshire close to the Humber Bridge and we'll be exploring some of the best roads and finest food the area has to offer.
The start and ending point will this year be the Humber Bridge Country Hotel. www.hbcountryhotel.com

This is a new venue for 2018. It's a newly refurbished hotel and restaurant with great accommodation and food in a wonderful location. I have booked 4 rooms (the only 2 twins and 2 doubles), but they have 15+ in total so please contact them directly if all pre-booked spaces are filled. There is also other hotel and bed and breakfast accommodation nearby, unfortunately I've not located any nearby camping options, but will continue looking. A discount for single occupancy is available.
Accommodation shouldn't be a problem, but please get in touch if you need more information.

Your g-string is always welcome. It's one of the reasons we're moving venue, so you can delight some new innocents
And now you say you can't make it! That's the entertainment back on the 'to-do' list.

Now my turn to grovel. I can't make WeeMac or BigMac this year and I was all set to at least do BigMac.

I knew I had mentioned this to my wife a while ago, but didn't think any more about it. Reading this again reminded me so I asked if it was OK for me to go. It turns out that Mrs Weasley had already put it on our family calendar. Looks like I’m in! I’ll look into booking etc when I get a minute.

Wanted to "covertly" sign up and surprise you Chris having said today I couldn't attend however phoned the hotel to be told it's £79 per night and no knowledge of a group booking?? Put me down as attending but can you speak to the hotel/book me a room/let me know who to speak to, to get it booked. To be honest to chap I spoke to sounded like he was about 10 and clueless!!

Bad news folks, I can't make ToL this year. I have had a bit of a health scare and have been off work for the last two weeks. I am hoping to get back to work next week, but I am still feeling very drained and feel that a 400+ miles on the bike is beyond me right now. I was supposed to be away on my bike this weekend too and have had to cancel that as well. Not happy, but health must come first

So sorry to hear this Tony but please look after yourself and keep us updated.

Two updates for you:
1. Charity bike event
We could attend the WMC Vulcan charity event on Saturday morning. Let me know if you're seriously interested. If there are 4 or more up for this then we can go. I'll rearrange the route; not a big detour. I'm up for it. Cost is £10 and you need ID - a driving licence will do. The charity is Lincolshire Blood Bikes.


2. Menu for Saturday night
FYI Here's the current menu from the venue for dinner on Friday night.
No need to order in advance. We will have a dining room to ourselves. Since this is the 15th ToL there will be some reminiscing to be done. If you have any photos or stories to share be prepared.





3. Venue location and fuel

Best to access the venue from the A15/A1077 junction immediately south of the Humber Bridge. Head west and take the first turning on the right. It's at the top of a rise so take it easy on the approach. Then down hill through an S bend to the Give Way junction. The hotel driveway is straight across. Beware, there are several speed bumps on the drive and lakes on either side so no off-roading!
If you are coming from the south and miss the junction on the A15 then you're crossing the Humber Bridge. Fortunately no toll for bikes and you can turn around at the (large) roundabout on the other side after the toll booths

Yes please - I’m up for the Vulcan, I presume you’ll cut short the ride?

Thanks folks. I should be back at work tomorrow after two weeks off, but still feeling very tired.

Apparently it’s the Vulcan that carried out the Black Buck raids on the Falklands and it’s static at Waddo.

It's XM607, which flew 3 Black Buck raids, including the famous first mission that hit the runway at Port Stanley. An incredible story and I'll be glad to get up close to it.

I am very jealous that I won't be there with you guys x
