Hi, got a red 1999 Thundercat.  Owned it just over a month and love it so far.  I have just passed my test, so this is my first 600+, but have rode for just over a year.

Looking to do basic maintenance over the winter and enjoying getting my hand dirty.

Hi mate.

I park mine up in the garage, open the choke to flood it to a stall (just turn it off if if doesn't), then disconnect a battery terminal.
I nip out a couple of times during the winter and run it (static) for twenty minutes, then do the above again.

Done that for eleven years and not had an issue starting it again in spring.
I normally leave a full tank in it as well.

Hi & Welcome.

Only one hand dirty...you're either really good, half hearted or I've just put my foot in it.

Great to have you aboard whichever it is.

Cheers
Rosco
