First topic message reminder :

We've been discussing this for a while, but time has come to announce the details of the inaugural ride through the Cotswolds.

Basing ourselves at the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on the crossroads of the B4030 and the A4260 near Steeple Aston. There are other accommodation options available, B&B's from about a mile away and a  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] about 4 miles away.
Meet at The Holt from Friday evening for those staying over, those close by who would like to join for the day's ride-out are most welcome and can join us in the hotel car park Saturday morning. Conveniently there is a petrol station opposite the hotel.

The price of the hotel (per person per night)
RO: £35
BB: £40
DBB: £65

bookings please either via this thread or a PM to Ondurin (Raymond). The ride-out is in the planning stages, however getting an idea of how many will be able to make the ride-out will help with the catering choices.

If you could put your names down here, the master list will updated. Questions and discussions are welcome in this thread.

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's quite a small crossing but there is an alternate route avoiding the water altogether.

Nice one Dave, lets hope your social secretary (war dept) has a free slot for you and the same to those who are still finding the right time to pop the question.
Good to read the concern for BOSx's welfare and the preparedness to possibly  join in to make sure all's well Wink

Yes - otherwise we'd be waiting ages at the traffic lights in Stow.  Hope that doesn't put you off!

It wasn't the ford that was the problem violet-lol   It was that slopey, gravelly car park at Broadway. I had to get Stretchy to move my bike for me - what a girlie coloured eyes

Unfortunately, with the change of date I can't make it but hope you have a good one Smile

Will you be able to get a new tyre in the right pannier?

The tyre is still like brand new, shame it's on Dirt Bike Daves wheel as it looks like the only part that survived the off..... It's more worrying how fast Rosco will be if he purchases a modern replacement for the cat!

It is indeed a very minor trickle, only a couple of inches deep - nothing to worry about if you go through slowly with the bike upright. I did it yesterday (in both directions) with a mate - no probs, though he did go through a bit quick the first time and then complained his boots got a bit of water on them. Oh dear.

I had been looking at trying to make this but I just can't find the funds for the new rear shock my Cat needs, gutted to have to say I'll be a no as this is my old stomping ground and the roads round there are cracking!

Can you let me know the route Steve, interested to see where your going! If it runs again I will certainly be there if I can!

Still hoping to make the Saturday ride. Just waiting on fork seals that I should have on by Friday ready for Saturday. 2nd gear still knackered as haven't got a swop yet but rest is still good. Hopefully see you guys at the Holt Hotel.

Anyone have the postcode for the sat nav?

Thanks for this Bob,

I'll give this to my team at the Hotel so they can listen out for people Wink
For the people staying on the Friday night, I will hopefully have an area set out just for the bikes, will be good if they are all lined up Very Happy

I also have my Action Camera ready for the ride, although mine is mounted on the back of the bike facing backwards to scare off all them tailgating car drivers (It works wonders btw).

I will be at the Holt on Friday to greet people etc, you'll also see my Tcat in the parking area.

Edit: Just so people are aware. breakfast on weekends is from 0800 - 1000, so people that are arriving on the Saturday morning could come in for breakfast (£7.50 pp) for a full buffet breakfast. For the people that are staying this is included with the room price Smile
