If it's done in Oxfordshire area I might be able to arrange some pretty damn cheap rooms £15pppn that includes a full English breakfast buffet as well But that does depend on when as we can get seriously busy at this Hotel.

Have updated the poll. Can fine tune when a popular month is found.

Hmm
Liking the early July or mid August dates myself
(PS: I've been in the engine-room Steve and added more vote options so the Jul & Aug dates can be voted on seperately - weekend wise [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])

I can't make any of the one's which are most popular at the moment (Family hols, Le Mans) but will keep an eye on the voting.

It's local for me as well, and I can be pretty flexible on dates - I've voted for most of them.
Happy to help with leading a ride-out or whatever - be nice to have more than just Weasley turn up for a change! ;)

Indeedy, and with the strong looking chance of accommodation, perhaps this time a southern ride just may get off the ground and maybe establish its selfbobh wrote: - be nice to have more than just Weasley turn up for a change!
Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
Any more movement on this ? Is the interest there. . . . even for a day trip~ride meet ?
Thundercat Day
I for one, am very much looking forward to it, even if it's just a day meet.

The Hotel is in a great location for a day meet.
Let me know what people would prefer.

Sorry to hear you've been a bit crook mate. Hope you're all better now thoughOndurin wrote:Sorry for not replying guy's, had some health issues as of late :'(
Probably better you tell us a day/date and I'm sure as many as are able will make their best efforts to be thereOndurin wrote:The Hotel is in a great location for a day meet.

I personally would relish the chance at a southern ride out, especially if it turned out to be a weekender
Cheers

PS:
Any danger of a link to Ye Olde Hotels web page or did I miss that already ?
Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
I'll live, I think. That's the problem of losing your spleen in a crash, next to no immune system! I managed to pick up an oral infection from my little boy, and it's actually the worst illness that I've had to date. :(
I actually didn't post a link to the hotel's website
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
We are undergoing refurbishment at the moment but still open as usual
Dates wise, I'm easy until around late late July as that's when baby number two is due
But feel free to throw the dates at me esp if we fancy going for a weekender from the dates I've supplied.
Otherwise a general day meet and ride would also be great.
Ondurin.

Thanks for the hotel link.
Was just having a look just where you are and discovered I'm riding past it on my way to BC so will change my leg stretch stop from 10 miles down the road to yours

Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
I've taken away the less popular dates, focusing on July and August, two dates being favourites. Mid July is 1 week before Big Mac, so could be an issue if anyone is wishing to do both.
Are those who said 12th August still OK with that date?
Those who are undecided but can once given a date, the 12th OK for you?
We'll have to confirm the accommodation is still available though.

Yeah I'm better now thanks, even spent some time fixing the T'cat

Generally if I know people are coming I can get rooms sorted without a problem. We have actually just repainted the bar area and it's much better! As is much of the hotel now tbh.

I'll be back at work tomorrow and can confirm dates then for you all. 12th might be a problem for me depending when the baby decides to drop (due on July 31st)
But I can't see it being a problem me meeting you all up there regardless
And I'll be able to push some advertising for the forums on our FB page and hotel blog.
I'll also sort out some parking spaces as it will be good having all the bikes lined up for a decent camera shot!

Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
The mid July date, if that's 15th 16th and 17th, is good for me. I only get one weekend off work in three, so that falls good for once.

I have had to pull out of Weemac and now BC8 due to a family crisis, it would be great to have a chance to have a ride out and meet up once the dust has settled

Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
Well I'd just need a confirmed date and then I'll check our availability and book people in.
Also sorry for the monumental slow reply's, work has had me non stop for the past 2 months now :(
On the good side of things I upgraded to R6 calipers and front braided hoses, and also bought new Battalax BT023's for front and rear

Please could you check your availability for 15-17 July and 12-14 August, looks like these are the favourites. I've cleared the poll and left these two dates in could those interested please re-vote.

Hey guy's,
I still have availability for both dates. Would need to know sooner rather than later ofc so I can just book everyone in (That's if people want to stay).

Re: Oxon weekend away proposal
Fantastic, thanks Raymond. I'll set-up the ride-out area so people can put their names down. Bobh has kindly offered to get a ride route planned, but will also need to know potential numbers for catering.
For now I'll co-ordinate this but if someone else would like to do it, I'll be happy for them to take it over.
