Hello! Empty Hello!

Hi all,

A new (well, oldish tongue ) 2001 'Cat owner from up North. Passed my DAS in July and have put a few thousand miles on the bike since then. Was absolutely terrifying to start with, couldn't get over the noise and how quick it is! Getting a bit more comfortable though and improving on my cornering. Really enjoying it so far and using it everyday to commute so getting some experience is great. Looking forward to some rideouts when I can keep up!

I'll try and get a scenic photo up tonight.

Hi and welcome. I'm sure you'll enjoy your 'cat once you've ironed out the issues.

Good on you for racking up the miles, I'm looking for a successor to the high mileage on a thundercat crown - you off to a great start.

You've just missed the last site ride-out for this year, but plenty to choose from next year. Don't be put off by thinking you can't keep up, we use a marker system so everyone can ride at the speed at which they are comfortable. I recall my first ride-out, was slower than a squashed snail whistle riding with others, especially the folk on this forum has helped many a rider gain confidence and improve. The off bike get togethers'  in the evening are as much fun as riding.

Hello & Welcome to the forum.

As Steve says, good on ya for racking up the miles, nothing like getting the miles under your belt to get to know yer Kitty green smile

The last usual (annual), forum ride for the year has passed, but that's not to say forum members will not be out and about for an impromptu run on good days.
Watch the Ride 0uts, Meets & Events section for any impromptu rides . . . Or why not post up your own favourite loop and see if anyone would like to join you ?

Anyhow, I see you have posted a couple of topics with a minor issue. I hope (suspect), you'll get plenty of help/pointers to set you right  wink thumb up

Once again, Welcome, and we hope you have an enjoyable time with us here.

Cheers

Hi Carbice

Welcome aboard.
Somewhere Watford and John O Groats - Just how up North are you?

You'll get more and more used to the noise, acceleration and speed the more you ride it.
I hope you enjoy the site and your new bike.

Cheers

Are you proper North or BBC North (a.k.a. the Midlands)?
