New member with Thundercat!

Post  57jam89 on Sun Jul 26 2015, 09:04

Hi all,
Here's some pictures of my new Cat, I got her from a mate who has owned it for 14 years, stopped riding 7 years ago and last time the engine was run was 4 years ago. It's got full history and only done 14k.

Here she is on her way to a new home-

After a good clean-

Now I just have to get her running!

Thanks for looking.

Thanks everyone.

SteveCat pointed out that my cat is not a UK bike as 'that colour wasn't sold in the uk' and I then found on the reg document 'declared new in GB by independent importer' on 01/02/1998.
My question is what's different on my bike as I understand black paint was sold in the uk?

Thanks.

Depends if it was intended for Germany, theirs has an extra breather pipe. All the others are the same, you'll have a Km speedo most likely.

Hi, no it has a mph one. But now did you know it was imported by looking at the pictures?

Thanks.

Just the colour scheme. There are a few about but not many. The UK bikes didn't have red in them

Really nice looking cat you have there, like the colour scheme.
Have you got her MOT'd and on the road now? Mine goes in for hers today after being of the road for about 3 years..

Hi, yes it's on the road. After some bodywork repairs and fully refurbished carbs.

Good news, mine is definitely in need of some bodywork TLC, need to research how to fill cracks in the plastic and smooth them out ready to respray again.
