torque wrench

can anyone recommend a good one?

cheaper the better, and from a high street shop if possible because i want it tomorrow so i can adjust my chain...

Try machine mart if your near glasgow. They have a few..Halfords sell one but they're a bit pricey..I have a silverline one which does the job..cheap but it works....think I got in on eBay for around £20.. Can't fault it so far!

I have one, but still just use a big ring spanner (I've never gotten around to buying a socket that fits the axle nut for the torque wrench).   

Halfords are doing one for £30 at the moment though.  

(Just a pity they aren't doing half price on this:    it's ideal for tinkering on the bike and the plug socket is the correct size also.)

that halfords one is a low range wrench wooster, i need it to go to 117Nm at least for the axle nut.

the socket set is a bit over priced at 35, you could get the same one in Aldis for 12.99   

Aye, that's why I usually wait until they're half price.

..I say 'usually' but I've only bought three.
I left one set in a car park in Stirling and one set was stolen when my car was broken into.

I didn't notice it only went to 25Nm, that is a bit pants...barely better than pinched up.
