Sunday Meet (26 April)
First topic message reminder :
Anybody free on Sunday 26 April for a quick cuppa, up (or down) here in Yorkshire?
Two GREAT venues have been discussed - either Squires (Sherburn in Elmet) or Seaways (Fridaythorpe) a few people are interested BUT we thought it better to open this up to all!
Motor Sport Fans will know theres a lot happening that weekend - Moto GP in Japan, Grand Prix in Bahrain and WRC in Argentina, so I'm sure a slice of cake will also be required to draw people away from the TV

Re: Sunday Meet (26 April)
Well as this is on my doorstep I have to attend so have moved the boys night out to Friday (how popular has that made me not) I am intent being at the Humberbridge car park (Meeting Suzie there before we go on to Seaways etc)from about 10.00am but thats only as I want to do a 3/4 hr rideout with Humberside police's top motor cycle instructor as he is one of the guys at the Bikesafe event which is on there. If anyone wanted to start their day before the meet up with a free 3/4 hr Bikesafe rideout with feedback then let me know and will book it for them or can sort it on the day if you turn up an hour or so before we need to leave for the main meet.
The Bikesafe event at the Humberbridge is run by my work colleagues and work mates so there is plenty chance of a free coffee and always other bike related things going on there with AIM, ROSPA, Bike training companies etc and often a dealer or two present. Its not unusual to have other little groups or clubs turn up likewise using it as a bike related meeting point. The bikesafe venue is in the main Bridge car park as you turn off Ferriby road towards the carpark there is a turning immediately left where you will see the Bikesafe stand and trailers etc. A decent place to make a get together before moving on to Seaways Biker cafe etc. If I miss seeing a T Cat arrive, just ask any of the Humberside Police bikers for Martin Moore and I will sort out a drink and look forward to saying hello.
Suzie has my mob number and happy for her to pass it on if she knows its going to a genuine T cat site member if you want any more info or to have a local point of contact feel free to give me a call if you want to ask anything else as I am on nights tonight it will be on even in the wee small hours just be aware if i am driving I need time to park up so if it rings off then ring straight back.
It is approx 35-40 mins to Seaways from the Bridge at a nice steady pace and taking in some very nice biking roads on route. If you do make your own way take it easy as Sunday will see unmarked and marked Police Bikes and cars including a nice black Hyabusa operating in the north of the county on the main biking routes. I would anticipate leaving the Humberbridge car park about 1pm ish based on Suzzie suggesting Seaways for 1.30pm.
I will answer any questions on here or feel free to PM me etc.
Cheers

Right 1.30 for 2 pm at Seaways at Fridaythorpe
Aiming to be with Martin for 1230 (weather/roads permitting). I've done the bikesafe observed runs before - for anyone that hasn't they are well worth it - i won't be partaking as i'm already sweating over my next observed run!!!

Re: Sunday Meet (26 April)
Anyone know how much for the bridge?
I've already had a trying experience with a toll bridge once this week (blooming Dunham Bridge on way back from Wee Mac - came different way home and forgot about it - landed up about 10 yards from it scrabbling about for 10p bloody skinflints
- dropped 20p in the bike and was worried it would break something so then scrabbled about trying to dislodge it from where-ever it was before finding it 10mins later on the floor 3ft from the bike!!!!!
You'd have thought for 10p they'd have let me off - anyway i gave him 20 and waited for the change and held everyone up behind me by slowly putting on my gloves and zipping up my pockets again - wanted my monies worth!
I'm going to pay them in 1ps next time - that'll teach them

Sunday 26th Meet
So anyone else thinking of meeting up earlier at the Humber Bridge car park, let us know so we can keep an eye out for you. You dont have to have anything to do with the Bikesafe but sure you will get a coffee. Anyway its too nice out there to be inside so out the T cat comes and going for a little jaunt where ever that may take me.
Look forward to saying hi on Sunday
Cheers

Re: Sunday Meet (26 April)
Be making me way up possibly with sgtbash mid morning ish.
Not sure of the route i'll be taking yet, likely to be the scenic way tho. Nice wee pootle up, scout around, then if time allows, lunch somewhere. Head into seaways for the meet and a coffee for 1:30 ~ 2.
See you all tomorrow

Yep,10p for bikes, so...by the time you've de-gloved and scrambled around for 10p,its worth every penny!!

Re: Sunday Meet (26 April)
HA Obviously it was the owners of Dunham Bridge that gave scotland the idea - (or the owners of the Humber Bridge)!!!! Nope - they're so desperate they need the 10p from poor bikers so i think it would be a really good idea to get a good load of bikers to go all at once one day and for everyone of them to pay in coppers!!!! Bet they scrap it after that (either that or we'd all get Fixed Penalty Notices for causing a Section 5 Disorder!!!!!!!!)

Sunday 26th Meet
Only hours to go for the Seaways EXtra Yamaha Run, or for the observant SEXY Run, well with the attendance of so many female T Cat riders Seaways wont know what hit them.
So glad Suzie is coming as without her I would not know what my fellow T cat mates look like. If the weather holds out, Seaways can get pretty busy so wont be much chance of getting the Cats together but before we leave must get a pic or two sorted. If there is a bit of room near the top of the car park may be worth the first there putting their bike where we can get a few together.
Looking forward to it
