Lake district riding routes
First topic message reminder :
eh up yawl,
I am likely to be heading to the lake district for a few days away in a few weeks (first ever proper even if small bike trip)
Any suggestions for 3 days worth of riding, I am going with anna who is on here and is fairly new to biking so nothing to serious, but something with a bit of a challenge.
we are staying at the bottom of windermere lake so cant get pretty much anywhere.
any ideas are much appreciated!
Thanks
Dave

Re: Lake district riding routes
What route are you taking up there. Motor way to get there quickly or avoiding motorways?

Re: Lake district riding routes
i think m40 then m6, poss m6 toll depends on the traffic reports, I dont really know any other routes up there really, I want to get there quickly really but I am always open to other routes that are waaayyy more interesting

Just looking through the latest issue of RiDE (March issue??) They have a tour of northern England and day 3 (page126) is in the Lake District.
Might be worth a look.
