getting the CAT on 21st September

Hi All

After hunting through the net in search of a good forum on the thundercat here i am. Im due to take delivery of a 97 Cat in yellow and silver on the 21st September and cant wait. Took her out for a jaunt a couple of weeks ago and loved it, seemed so natural and easy to ride.

Will be my first big bike after passing DAS in july. Had a 125cc before that so a bit of a difference, i will in no doubt be trawling through this board for advice etc.

Congratulations on picking up a 'cat. It was my first bike after passing my DAS test too. I'm sure you'll love it, just take time to get acquainted.

well picked the cat up and boy does it fly, pretty horrible rainy day here but she is a beauty. Takes some work at junctions, she wants plenty of guts to get going but boy once she hits 6k she takes off.

congrats on getting on the cat! Don't worry with a bit of practice she will be flying through the junctions aswell, she can be pretty agile if chuck her about ...don't try that in the wet mind you

Second ride today with a friend who rides a honda cb1000R, the cat did well, she was a bit grumpy when i first woke her up, but about 10mins down the road she got into her stride, junction work is coming, she held her own with the honda(he was taking it easy), some funky filtering going on, once she starts getting above 6k on the rev'ometer she takes off.
Think we are going to have some fun together

I can remember, back in the early 70's, when 6000 rev's was considered nasty, "Bee in a biscuit tin" sort of comments about "Jap Crap"! Things have moved on a bit methinks!
