Thanks for all the comments guys!

In response to Rosco.. I bought it like that! Wink

The other side is fading very slightly so I didn't post it green smile

The black tail is the previous owners decision and it looks great! The beowulf can sounds amazing too! So much that my brothers bought one for his bandit!

Could somebody tell me what temperature their Cat runs at? Mine was at 60 but I noticed it creeps up to 80 but I always reach where I wanna be before i can see if it goes up. Havent done any long rides yet!!!

Thanks guys!! green smile

60 is good and often that's where it'll stay. Warmer weather you will see 80, and if you end up in city traffic don't be alarmed to see 100. The fan kicks in at 102 or 103.

Bike does look lovely.

You can join us for some or all of the ride on our Southern Ride Out next weekend if you'd like to clock some miles (and have a good day out Very Happy ). We are sure to be passing your way as we're crossing E&W Sussex

Just to add my peneth as I got conscerned at a railway crossing when mine went to 100.

Yamaha Temp gauges are not very accurate (according to my Yam. dealer). They put a digital temp on and the fan was kicking in at 105.

Thanks for all the comments guys! And thanks a lot for the hints in the temp, got me worried for a sec there!!

I've go the white tail fairings which I need to put on to allow pillion handles. I really would like them black though. Has anyone got anyone tried a spray can job? I figure it's such a small part it cant hurt? ...maybe? Question

The tail pieces come in three once all removed so yes it is not a massive area to paint. How much knowledge have you got at painting?
I used to be a vehicle refinisher a long time ago (seems like another life now) I was apprentice trained at a mercedes benz dealer. So i can point you in the right direction but dont want to insult your intelligence by pointing out the obvious. Let me know how much help you need.

I dont know much to be honest. I was going to buy a bike that needed a paint job so had a look about and would sand it (three types of paper I believe, I would get some sort of guide) it would only be a spray can job but a plain glossy black should be okay I would think.

I may just wait cause the middle section of the fairin (under the light) has been poorly resprayed and my left fairing is fading so I may just respray all at once later in time Smile
