Big Mac 2011 Sign Up (Fri 22th July - Monday 25th July) - Ullapool, Scotland (Waaaaay Oop North)

We are staying in a Big Scottish Highland Castle (not a :bounce: bouncy :bounce: one) for circa £30 a night (will hopefully / probably work out a bit cheaper depending on numbers). Details - HERE and location HERE

We are staying in a Youth Hostel in Ullapool

We expect to visit John O' Groats HERE on the Saturday Rideout and Applecross HERE on the Sunday Rideout.

I require a deposit of £25 to secure your place as soon as possible, as I have to pay this up front. There is other accommodation nearby.

I understand all bedding is included and there may be a small fee for towel hire.
As with previous hostel stays we all muck in and make breakfast (very cost effective) as long as we tidy up afterwards.

The remaining amount (£35) needs to be paid by Friday 3rd June (ASAP)

There are cancellation charges to cancel a room so please don't sign up unless you are happy to pay your deposit.

The total accommodation cost at the castle is split between everyone at the castle irrespective of number of people in the room.

If you already have SYHA membership then you are free to organise your own accommodation here. We have to buy group membership.

Looking forward to this one.....I'm sure this will be the best one yet.

I've booked places at the castle for everyone who has paid or said they would and requested info on evening meals and towel hire.

Peeps, sorry but unforunately family reasons (Simons 2 week holidays begin on the 22nd July) stop me from attending this years ride out.

I'll peruse the remaining ones, TOL & SnT and see if I can fit attend these instead.

And I was so much looking forward to meeting you all again.

Sorry Ross, due to the snow im desperatly short of holidays and have been told in no uncertain terms this one is a no no, am really gutted but my holidays run from 1st October . 2 days off for snow then 6 off for xmas shut down has left me a lot fewer than first thought.
Again apologise's as would have loved to be there, hope to be up again at some point tho

Big Castle for 3 nights and group brekkie for me please.

The castle is full!!!

I managed to increase our booking from 20 to 22 which should allow those that have intimated / paid (or just about to pay) a space at the castle.
One or two couples have intimated they could be willing to free up their space at the castle which means we 'might' have ONE spare space at the castle.

Everyone has to party at the castle though and I've booked dinner for everyone at the castle @ £12 a head for 3 courses, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Please let me know if you require the vegetarian option.

A local(ish) B&B has a double & twin room available the Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights.

I think it would be fair if everyone paid the same therefore I'm suggesting that the local B&B cost , taxi cost and castle cost is all added together and split fairly. I hope you think likewise although please let me know if you think their is a better / fairer way.
