lol - well - i'm booked in at the travel inn at the supposed start point as are a couple of the girls from another forum - so i intend to try and find where the exitway is and leave the bike as close to that as possible!!!! (Assuming of course Plod haven't put a stop to it yet!!!) certainly think they're going to have to start registration before 10am if they're wanting to leave at 1230!

hmm wouldn't it ... don't think i know anyone in that force but i may know someone who does and she just happens to be a bike cop - i'll see if i can get hold of her. I know someone said that one force were charging for anything that needed escorts and tbh i would think they'd have to put a cap on the numbers anyway - could be interesting.

That beats the biggest ride I've been on of 9 000 Shocked

I've been watching the progress of this ride and have been put off by the sheer numbers and also it's my birthday and think I'll have to be elsewhere.

I know this can't be compared to the rides through central London, but with these kinda numbers I hope the organisers are getting some advice from the Met.
These days the Met charge for events and have been successful last year in stopping mass rides through the Capital.

I just hope this good cause isn't going to be victim of its own success
