Lincolnshire Meet - Saturday 31st July
First topic message reminder :
Well the weather on Saturday doesn't look bad and it seems there are a good handful of us in the Lincs area, so....
Anyone up for a meet in the afternoon and a short ride-out?
I was going to suggest a meet at Willingham Woods, Market Rasen at say 2pm?
Time and location is flexible though so if there's a response from the south or north of the county I'm happy to re-arrange this.
It would be good to put a few faces to the site names!

Re: Lincolnshire Meet - Saturday 31st July
chris just for your info tomorrow and no doubt the rest of the weekend in particular i've been told (by someone in the know) there will be an operation going on targeting bikers 'visors, cans and number plates' so no doubt if the weather is good they will be out and about near WW. Person i spoke to said they'll use cars for this also - as far as they are concerned they're a biker and would rather give words of advice (they sited dark visors in the evenings as an example) than tickets however they said not everyone may think like that.
and before anyone says anything no i'm not suggesting anyone on this forum would be likely to fall foul - i wouldn't dare!

Re: Lincolnshire Meet - Saturday 31st July
Hi Susie,
Thanks for the advice. I hope everyone's taking note.
Such a shame we plan a law abiding get together and then have to survive being 'targeted' by the police.
Ahh well, two speed traps does an English summer make!
See you all on Saturday.
Chris

I wasn't feeling particuly optimistic yesterday, it rained from about 6ish last night till about 2 in the morning
However, no idea what it's like over the rest of Lincolnshire but we have clear blue skies over waddington
See ya later

Re: Lincolnshire Meet - Saturday 31st July
Just checking in.
Bike cleaned and tucked away. Great to meet up with everyone, especially Rich and Andy.
And yes Andy another time before ToL would be great, or folk can tag along for the ToL recce if they want - date to be decided.
Excellent day. Managed to steer clear of the rain, more or less. There was some nice new surfacing on some of the roads - been a while since I've done that route. Good chat and plenty of tea/coffee.
Suzie - I didn't realise the wave at Willingham Woods was 'goodbye' and not 'OK ready to go'. I can hurtling back to find you, but to no avail.
Rich - sorry we got back a bit late and you didn't have time to stop. Hope you enjoyed the ride-out.
Some pics here
Cheers,
Chris
